Poinsettia Wallhanging

Here are some pictures of “The Poinsettia”.  It was so much fun to create.  Again, this is not an original design and I will add the designer later.  I used a variety of threads and am still going to add beads and embellishment to the centre.  I may try other flowers as this was so much fun to do!  Thanks for looking, and happy quilting to all!

Edmonton and District Quilt Show Last weekend

Well, I entered my first two quilts in a quilt show last weekend, and I must admit, it gave me a great deal of satisfaction to see them hanging in the show.  And even if they didn’t win the category, they both were hung by the winners!!!  Must mean something . . . .

Here are the two quilts, I will post the patterns and designers later, as I did not design these quilts and don’t want to take that credit.

The bed sized quilt has ‘original’ wool batts from a mill here in Alberta, and come from locally grown (pet) sheep.   (You can see the batt in the bottom picture!)    I had alot of fun designing the quilting designs for the bed quilt and the wall hanging.

The day of the DEADLINE, I frantically working away, playing games in my head, giving up many times, but in the end I did persevere and got them to the drop off spot with 15 minutes to spare!!  Anyway have fun looking, and I will post more often.  I was busy at the quilting frame getting these done.  Now off to clean the house.  (sigh)

Welcome to my World of Long Arm Quilting

Thanks for stopping by my blog.  I hope it is the first visit of many!  I want to inspire you to start, continue on and finish any projects you may have.  Feel free to comment, ask questions or contact me for a quilting quote.

Today I want to show you some examples of my work and as the days go buy, I will post what I am working on and whats ‘hot’ coming off the frame.

I have been priviledged to work on some stunning quilts, one heirloom, lots of baby quilts and my own works.

Enjoy the eye candy!!  Talk later . . .  .
